Living | Entry

Large, square, flat concrete flatwork draws visitors to the entry lantern's large glass front door. Entering the glass encased entry challenges guests to evaluate whether they've entered the home or are still outdoors. The indoors and the outdoors blur upon arrival and the visual and spacial harmony continue throughout all of 2170's spaces.
Entry to the living room is provided by a barnwood door gliding on a rustic steel overhead rail. Immediately the living room's soaring ceiling pulls the enormous front range views into the space again harmonizing the indoors with the outdoors.
Warm, dark, familiar wood floors are complimented by rustic, warm-toned "Parallam" features throughout the home. Elephant Skin Gray painted sheet rock walls are punctuated generously by warm wood encased windows and doors all around.

Kitchen | Dining

To the left (south) of the living area the dining area and kitchen. Warm, two-toned slab cabinet work is broken up and lightened by wall cabinets over the cooking areas.
A generously sized, multi-level sink island offers both counter height seating and table height casual dining all within conversation range of the busy chef. And again, the view joins the conversation through space-defining window clusters in both the kitchen and dining spaces.
Detailed mosaic tiles clad the full length of the kitchen backsplash and steel accents add a gentle industrial flair to the design throughout.
Simple granite-look Formica countertops, mid-range stainless appliances and playfull exposed bulb pentant lighting add familiarity, humbleness and warmth to the space.

Circulation Space | Courtyard | Guest Suite

The center circulation area cunningly houses a washer/dryer closet in close proximity to most entry points of wet clothing and offers a powder room and pantry spaces to support the kitchen on the other side.
Custom wood and steel stairs offer access to the master suite above and an open corridor providing access to the basement stairs as well as exit to 2170's one of a kind mountainside courtyard where Ram's Horn Mountain provides the walls and the stars and sky the ceiling and lighting.
Beyond the courtyard door is the entry to the guest suite offering a main floor king bedroom, walk-in closet and full on-suite bath for guests who prefer to enjoy their stay without troubling with stairs.

Master Bedroom

The Master bedroom is accessed from the living room by stairway custom built of steel and wood. Twin corner windows at the top landing pull mountain and valley views into the space which offers two options: left hand entry into the master bedroom or right hand entry to the master closet on the right.
Entering the master bedroom reveals a soaring white ceiling spaced freely above an 84" high "floating wall" which separates the california king bed from cabinetry work that provides a bar sink, mini refrigerator and Kuereg Coffee station.
On the bed side of the floating wall, horizontal planks of reclaimed barnwood lumber complement shelves and nooks to provide guest warm confines, lighting controls, power and charging ports for bedside devices.

Master Bath

The master bath is entered by gliding a barn-style door clad in barnwood reclaimed from the upper midwestern US. The natural maple wood flooring continues from the stairs, through the bedroom and closet and right through the bathroom providing seamless spacial transitions.
A Kohler air massage tub and breathtaking 96" high window provide endless ambiance for bathers. Dark espresso-stained cabinetry, birch bark mirrors, contemporary fixtures, warm exposed-bulb lighting, and smooth, clean stone vanities and natural tilework in the shower balance the bathroom in visual harmony with the views provided by dark & warm wood-encased windows.

The lower level features over 1,000 square feet featuring two bedrooms, a hall bathroom and a recreation room ideally suited for Movie watching or playing games.
